Birmingham 0, Canoga Park 0--The Hunters had a chance to win with four seconds left at Canoga Park, but kicker Victor Olivares could not get off a 35-yard field-goal attempt because of a bad snap.
Birmingham (3-1-1, 1-0-1) was led by linebacker Marvin Powell’s three sacks. The Braves’ defense added two more sacks.
Canoga Park (0-4-1, 0-1-1) limited Birmingham running back Courtney Blunt to 20 yards in 17 carries. Blunt entered the game as the leader among Valley-area City rushers with 635 yards.
Hunter quarterback John Carlsen completed 10 of 22 passes for 125 yards with one interception.
