Pollution Research Corp. Income and Sales Increase

Pollution Research and Control Corp., a Glendale manufacturer of air pollution monitoring instruments, reported $309,000 in net income for its third quarter that ended Sept. 30, an 8% increase from $287,000 in earnings a year earlier.
Its sales rose 7% in the third quarter, to $1.68 million from $1.57 million.
For the nine months, the company said its profit jumped 38%, to $885,000 from $641,000 in net income in the comparable 1992 period. Its sales totaled $4.93 million, a 6% gain from $4.63 million.
Pollution Research said it has benefited from new requirements of the Clean Air Act of 1990.
