Westwood : Art and Music to Fill Streets

Celebration ’93 will fill Westwood Village streets this weekend with art from more than 100 artists and music from Odetta, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and Amy Kanter.
Village streets will be closed off for the annual celebration, which begins Friday evening with several art gallery parties.
Food from Westwood restaurants, a petting zoo and a children’s entertainment stage will also be parts of the festivity.
Art displayed by the 11 galleries participating in the event will include works by Picasso, Chagall and Christo, as well by California artists Standish Backus Jr. and Phil Dike.
A silent auction featuring artworks by celebrities such as Joni Mitchell and John Denver will also be held.
Proceeds will go to the charity LIFE (Love is Feeding Everyone).
Admission is free. Musical performances will take place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
