Beverly Hills : Police Dept. to Be Audited
- Share via
Beverly Hills has hired a Virginia firm to conduct a management audit of the city’s Police Department. The audit by Towers Perrin was approved by the City Council this month at a cost of $70,000.
The Police Department is one of several city departments, including sanitation services and transportation operations, that is undergoing a management and efficiency study, according to City Manager Mark Scott.
The contract calls for the firm to examine the city’s current and future need for police services and how police officers are deployed. It will also look for ways to enhance the department’s effectiveness through better technology, management or operations. The audit is expected to be completed this year.
