LAGUNA NIGUEL : Applications for City Panels to Be Available

Application forms for people interested in serving on city commissions and committees will be available at City Hall beginning Thursday.
The deadline for submitting applications is Dec. 3 at 5 p.m.
After the deadline, the City Council will interview applicants and make appointments.
Several positions expire Dec. 31. The term for committees is one year, two years for commissions.
Panels and number of positions open include: Planning Commission, three; Traffic and Transportation Commission, two; Parks and Recreation Commission, two; Public Safety/Emergency Preparedness Committee, five; Sports Advisory Committee, three, and Special Events Committee, one.
All appointments scheduled to expire on Dec. 31 will remain in effect until after new appointments or reappointments are made.
Applications may be picked up at City Hall, 27801 La Paz Road, or received by mail by calling (714) 362-4300.
