FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Emergency Services Director Honored

The director of emergency services at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center has been recognized as the county’s Emergency Department Physician of the Year.
Dr. Peter Anderson, who has been the director of the hospital’s emergency services for 18 years, received the award from the Orange County Society of Emergency Physicians.
Anderson, 46, is president-elect of the Orange County Medical Assn. and is a member of the newly formed board for OPTIMA, a new managed-care health system for indigent medical services and Medi-Cal in Orange County.
He is also on the board of directors for the California chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
“It was a tremendous compliment to receive such an acknowledgment from my peers,” Anderson said.
