Coin Toss to Determine Site of Newbury Park Title Game

The site of the Southern Section Division III football championship game between Newbury Park High and Hawthorne Saturday night will be determined by a coin flip today at the section office in Cerritos.
If top-ranked Newbury Park (13-0) wins the toss, the Panthers will host the game at Moorpark College. Hawthorne (12-1), ranked second, wants to play at El Camino College in Torrance. Kickoff at either site is scheduled for 7:30.
Newbury Park advanced to the final by defeating Bell Gardens, 43-26, in one semifinal game Friday night. The Cougars raced to a 44-20 victory over Buena in the other semifinal.
