Commissioner Says Facts Were Missing From Harbor Story
- Share via
I have read an article published in your paper on Dec. 3 which was written by Kirby Lee titled “Harbor Had Its Season Marred Because of Brawl.” I have never talked to Mr. Lee, but would like to set the record straight regarding some mistakes in the article. These are:
1. “Pierce, which finished 5-5 and 2-3 in Southern Division play, received no sanctions.”
The Pierce football program was placed on supervisory probation by the (Western State) conference for the 1993-94 school year.
2. The Harbor football program has been placed on supervisory probation for the 1994-95 school year. The article does not state this fact and in actuality states that there will be no sanctions for the 1994-95 school year.
Please have your writers check the facts with persons who are in charge in order to not misinform the public.
