A sister and brother were robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday while sitting in their car parked below the Father Serra Cross overlooking downtown Ventura, a Ventura police spokeswoman said.
Dana Gunderson, 22, and her brother Darryl, 20, were surrounded by four armed youths, the spokeswoman said. One of the youths reached through the passenger window and placed a gun barrel against Darryl Gunderson’s temple and demanded money.
The pair quickly turned over their wallets and keys, the spokeswoman said, and the youths fled.
The victims ran down Brakey Road and hailed two Ventura police officers near Main Street, the spokeswoman said.
