Re “The Elder of East L.A.” (Oct. 25): Frank Duarte is someone to admire. He has gone a long way and does not think of himself, but of his people, to help them and open doors for them.
His life showed me you can make it, if you try, don’t give up.
Like Frank Duarte said, “Help someone else, give back.”
