IRVINE — A middle-aged man wearing glasses, a hearing aid and a fishing cap robbed a Bank of America branch Monday and fled on foot, police said.
Just after the bank in the 18600 block of MacArthur Boulevard opened, the man went to the merchant teller window and produced a note demanding money, Sgt. Jeff Kermode said. No weapon was displayed.
After being given an undetermined amount of money, the man left through a neighboring office complex and fled toward the nearby Airporter Inn.
Police describe the man as 50 to 60 years old, about 5 feet 8 and 175 pounds. He wore a beige cap, a dark blue jacket and tan slacks. The hearing aid was in his right ear.
