Triconex of Irvine Announces Intent to Buy British Firm

Triconex Corp. said Wednesday it has signed a letter of intent to buy Precision Light Measurement Systems Ltd. in Plymouth, England, for $1.9 million.
PLMS makes infrared detection systems used to monitor the presence of combustible gases in the production of oil and gas.
Triconex, based in Irvine, makes fault-tolerant emergency shut-down systems used in oil refineries and chemical plants.
