Rhoden, from Chula Vista Bonita High School, has been one of the most impressive players in the first two weeks of Orange Empire Conference play. In four conference games, he averaged 28 points and has an overall average of 19 points. Rhoden scored 30 points before fouling out in the final seconds as Golden West lost to Cypress, 87-85, Wednesday. He came back to get 34 as the Rustlers beat district-rival Orange Coast, 96-89, Friday. He showed off his explosive scoring punch with 15 points in the first 8:19 of the OCC game.
Other notables:
* Tyrone Merriweather scored 23 points and had eight rebounds as Fullerton beat Riverside, 77-74, Friday.
