Stanton Man Critically Wounded While Standing Outside His Home

STANTON — A man was shot and critically wounded outside his home in the 7700 block of Santa Gertrudes Avenue, authorities said Wednesday.
The man, whom police have not identified, was standing in front of his home just before 11 p.m. Tuesday when another man walked up and shot him twice. The injured man was hospitalized and reported in critical condition Wednesday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which is also withholding the name of the hospital. The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, Lt. Bill Leonard said.
