ANAHEIM — Heavenly Slender Foods Inc. on Monday reduced its number of outstanding shares from 8.4 million to 840,000, increasing the price of its shares tenfold. The company’s stock closed Friday at 22 cents per share in over-the-counter trading; on Monday, it was offered at $2.20 per share and closed at $1.875. “We wanted to get the share price closer to $3, the level it needs to be to qualify for trading on the Nasdaq,” said company spokesman Shannon Squyres. “Also, the market is much more receptive to stock priced above $1.” The Anaheim company, which makes low-fat snack foods, also announced Monday that it has changed its name from Heavenly Slender Sweets to reflect its expanded product line.
