El Dorado softball pitcher Heather Hamer has orally committed to attend Kansas, her father said.
Hamer, whose earned-run average over her three-year varsity career is less than 1.00, chose the Jayhawks over Akron and St. Peters of New Jersey.
She pitched a no-hitter Tuesday against La Habra in a 5-0 victory; she faced the minimum 21 batters.
