PLAYA DEL REY : U.S. Official to Inspect Ballona Wetlands, Open Areas

Assistant Secretary of the Interior George Frampton will tour the Ballona Wetlands during a visit to the region next month.
Frampton, accompanied by Rep. Jane Harman (D-Marina del Rey), will tour several open areas in the South Bay on April 6 as well as the wetlands.
The 200-acre wetlands are on Jefferson Boulevard next to the site of Playa Vista, a planned massive housing and commercial development.
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will also show Frampton open space on the peninsula at Portuguese Bend before a visit to Catalina Island.
