SANTA ANA — A man shot to death in the hallway of a boarding house this week has been identified as 39-year-old Viliulfo Pahua of Santa Ana, police said Thursday.
Pahua was helping someone move into the boarding house, in the 1400 block of West Cubbon Street, on Tuesday afternoon when he was shot several times in the head during an attempted home-invasion robbery, said Sgt. Dick Faust.
“He was just an innocent victim,” Faust said.
