The coroner’s office Sunday identified four teen-agers who were killed when the new car they were in veered into oncoming traffic on Sunset Boulevard and smashed into a pickup.
The driver of the 1994 Acura was Hong Kim, 17, of Los Angeles, a spokesman said. The passengers, all 16, were Yun Chung of Los Angeles and Soo Hyun and Vicky Jung of Rowland Heights.
All died early Saturday when their car, reportedly speeding east on Sunset Boulevard near UCLA, veered into the westbound lanes, smashing into the pickup. The two women in the truck were injured. Both were admitted to UCLA Medical Center, where one was in critical condition Sunday with head injuries, and the other in fair condition with a broken leg and cuts and bruises.
