Renewed Market: In another sign that the market for large custom-built homes is growing, a private gated oceanfront community in north Laguna Beach announced it sold six custom sites for more than $9 million during the first week of May.
The community, Smithcliffs, has sold 10 of its 26 home sites since January. Construction has already started on one estate.
