Roosevelt 9, Huntington Park 5--Roosevelt banged out 15 hits while gaining a tie for first place in the Southeastern Conference with a victory Thursday at Evergreen Park.
Roughrider catcher Alex Rodriguez, who went one for three with three RBIs, started a four-run first inning with a two-run double down the left field line. His hit was followed by RBI singles from Elio Zavala and designated hitter David Martinez.
Zavala and left fielder Mickey Herrera both went three for four for Roosevelt.
Huntington Park’s Juan Garcia had a double and a triple, and drove in one run.
