GARDEN GROVE — Alton Group Inc. said Wednesday that its subsidiary, Source Scientific Systems, received a $500,000 extension on its three-year, $2-million contract with Nichols Institute Diagnostics to make an automated medical diagnostic instrument. Alton and Nichols developed the instrument. Nichols is based in San Juan Capistrano.
