LONG BEACH : Finances Cause Closure of Activist Coffeehouse

The coffeehouse that helped start a mini-revolt against the city’s strict entertainment licensing laws for alcohol-free establishments has gone out of business.
Daniel Pinn, owner of the Habitat coffeehouse on 7th Street, said he was forced to close this month after losing money steadily since opening the small storefront shop in December. “I’m through with the coffeehouse thing,” Pinn said. “There’s no money in it.”
