COSTA MESA : Education Secretary Riley to Be Speaker

U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley will speak at a meeting of the Democratic Foundation of Orange County tonight at the Center Club at 5:30 p.m.

Riley, a lawyer and former governor of South Carolina, became secretary of education in 1993. He will discuss “Goals 2000,” President Clinton’s long-term plan for education reform, and the national school-to-work program at the meeting.
