Huntington Beach won its second consecutive Southern Section boys’ volleyball championship Saturday with a 15-13, 11-15, 15-8, 15-9 victory over Laguna Beach in the Division I final at Cerritos College.
The unseeded Oilers (21-2) avenged a nonleague loss to Laguna Beach on May 2. Last season, Huntington Beach defeated Capistrano Valley in five games in the Division I championship match.

With the match even at one game apiece, the Oilers rallied from a 6-1 in Game 3 deficit to win 14 of the final 16 points.
Division II: Simi Valley Royal defeated Palmdale Highland, 15-10, 15-12, 11-15, 17-15. Royal rallied from a 13-9 deficit in Game 4 to close out the match.
