FULLERTON : Funds Needed to Let Kids Join Activities
- Share via
Children who cannot afford to participate in city-sponsored recreational activities may get a chance this summer.
But first, the city needs people, businesses and organizations to donate money to pay the activity fees for the children, city officials said.
The city is seeking donations to use in its Secret Pal program, which raises money for the purpose of enrolling youngsters in such recreational activities as swimming, dance and reading development classes and sports leagues.
Any child from a low-income family may apply for the program. About 100 youths are expected to receive help through Secret Pal.
