GM Raises 1995 Car, Truck Prices: The company, citing higher costs for safety features and substantial enhancements to new models, said it is raising prices as much as 12%. The Detroit auto maker normally releases new model prices in July, but General Motors Executive Vice President Michael Losh said the announcement was made early this year because GM is already shipping some ’95 models. About half of GM’s ’95 lineup will be completely redone or updated, a substantial departure from previous years, when financial problems delayed the introduction of new models such as the Chevrolet Blazer, Losh said.
