A 32-year-old man who may have interrupted two car thieves was stabbed several times early Thursday morning in front of his home, police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, told police that he heard his dogs barking about 4 a.m. and went to check his truck, which was parked in the driveway of his home in the 500 block of Catalina Drive, said Sgt. Andy Gonis.
“As he was checking the truck, two males jumped out from the truck and stabbed him multiple times in the upper torso,” Gonis said.
Gonis added: “This is a nice neighborhood where this certainly is an unusual incident.”
The two men ran and remain at large.
