Jim Pickett; Playwright Dealt With AIDS Issues
Jim Pickett, 44, playwright who was a co-founder of Artists Confronting AIDS. Pickett’s best-known plays were “Bathhouse Benediction,” “Dream Man” and “Queen of Angels,” all dealing with homosexuality in the era of AIDS. He was among the first to organize a series of presentations featuring gay writers at a bookstore, choosing A Different Light in West Hollywood. On Monday in Los Angeles of AIDS.
