Anaheim Man Arrested in Slaying

ANAHEIM — An Anaheim man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting outside a nightclub early Tuesday.
Police arrested Carlos Baltazar, 18, on suspicion of murder after a 19-year-old man was shot to death shortly after midnight in the parking lot of La Estrella Mexican Restaurant and Nightclub in Anaheim. Authorities did not identify the victim, pending notification of family members.
Police Sgt. Steve Rodig said a security guard at the nightclub detained Baltazar after the shooting and turned him over to authorities. The victim died at the scene, he said.
Rodig said police believe the two men were unacquainted and that only Baltazar had been inside the club at 500 N. Brookhurst St.
