Countywide : Schwarzenegger to Play Host at Auction

Movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger will play host at a charity auction at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Planet Hollywood, the restaurant he co-owns at South Coast Plaza Village, 1641 W. Sunflower Ave. in Santa Ana.

The live auction will feature clothes worn by motion picture celebrities as well as other memorabilia of the movie industry.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Inner City Games Foundation, a charitable institution that sponsors year-round sports and learning activities for young people in urban areas. The foundation, based in Los Angeles, helps about 100,000 youth a year.

Items in the Planet Hollywood auction include a black dress worn by Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie “True Lies.” Other things to be auctioned are a pair of boxing gloves signed by Muhammad Ali and a basketball autographed by Earvin (Magic) Johnson.
