THOUSAND OAKS : Red Cross to Train Disaster Volunteers

East county residents interested in learning how to help their communities during emergencies are invited to a Red Cross meeting Monday.
At the meeting volunteers will learn how to join their local Disaster Action Team, which will teach them how to manage emergency shelters, assess disaster-related damage and help their neighbors during emergencies.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the East County Sheriff’s Station, 2101 Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.
