More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the Anaheim Police Department’s Crime Prevention Fair on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at Stoddard Park.
Exhibits from the department’s SWAT, K-9 and helicopter details will be feajtured. There also will be free fingerprinting for children.
In part, the fair is intended to publicize “National Nights Out,” a nationwide event designed to strengthen relations between police and the community. On Tuesday, people throughout the country will be asked to turn on their homes’ outside lights from 8 to 10 p.m. as a message to criminals that neighborhoods are “fighting back,” police say.
Stoddard Park is at 1901 9th St.
