An unidentified man was killed early Tuesday when he jumped in front of a car on the Golden State Freeway in Glendale, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The man, dressed entirely in black, was struck about 3:35 a.m. by Steven Park, 24, of Montrose as Park drove south on the freeway just north of the Ventura Freeway, CHP Officer Ron Kilgore said.
“I don’t know what he was doing out there,” Kilgore said. “He just jumped out in front of the car. The driver did not see him until the very last minute.”
No one else was injured in the crash and Park was not cited, Kilgore said. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s identity.
