Santa Monica’s Main Street merchants have elected a new chairman to oversee business publicity on the popular thoroughfare.
David Teck, owner of the World Cafe restaurant, will serve as chairman of the Santa Monica Main Street Assessment Board. The board is a group of merchants who determine and create publicity programs for Main Street in coordination with the city and Chamber of Commerce.
Teck and the board are preparing for the trial run of a Main Street farmers’ market that is due to open Monday.
