Wet Seal Inc.: The Irvine women’s apparel retailer said it lost $1.2 million, or 10 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter ended July 30, compared to a loss of $373,000, or 3 cents a share, for the corresponding period in 1993. Sales fell 13%, to $31.1 million from $35.7 million. For the first half, the company posted a loss of $1.9 million, or 15 cents a share, compared to a loss of $302,000, or 2 cents a share, for the comparable period last year. Sales declined 11%, to $61.3 million from $68.7 million.
