John Mauceri will conduct Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” for Opera Pacific during the March 4-25 engagement at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Additionally, Lula Washington’s Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Theatre will appear in the ballet sequences in Verdi’s “Aida,” Oct. 1-9 at the Center. A director for “Aida” has yet to be announced.
