Euro Disney Stock Plunges: Trading of shares in the troubled leisure park were suspended for a quarter of an hour on the Paris bourse after they fell more than 10% on new doubts about the viability of the park outside Paris. The stock exchange halted trading in the early afternoon after the share hit $1.75, down from a closing price of $1.95 on Thursday. The Paris stock market stops trading in a share for 15 minutes if a price fluctuates 10%. A further suspension is carried out if the price moves another 5%. Euro Disney shares closed down 7.77% at $1.79 on heavy volume of 6.8 million shares. Brokers said the plunge was due to a report that Paribas Capital Markets leisure analyst Nigel Reed had valued the share at just 30 cents after a visit to the company.
