Beeper of Slain Man Helps Snare Suspects

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Arresting the suspects in a homicide was a no-brainer for police, who learned that the dead man’s beeper had been stolen.
“We called that beeper number,” said Detective Frank Newson. “Whoever had it tried to call us back.”
Police traced the call and arrested George Morgan, 19, and Antonio Morgan, 18. The cousins were charged with murder, attempted murder and attempted aggravated robbery in the death of Zach Williams, 18. They were jailed without bond pending an arraignment Monday.
