Countywide : County Libraries Get $200,000 State Grant

The California State Library has awarded the Orange County Public Library system a $200,000 grant to beef up reference materials.
The new materials, comprising 897 titles, will cover business and employment, student aid, social services and Spanish language areas.
The grant also will pay for the New York Times and Washington Post on microfiche, Ethnic Newsweek and other reference materials on compact disc, 14 Spanish language periodicals and some materials on CD-ROM.
The county library has 28 branches serving 1.2 million readers.
