Sheriff’s investigators on Wednesday were seeking a man who argued with a Carson liquor store employee, then returned with a handgun and sprayed the business with gunfire, killing a customer.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2721 E. Carson St., said sheriff’s spokeswoman Benita Hinojos.
“About 20 minutes before the shooting, the suspect had a dispute with an employee (of the business),” Hinojos said. “He left and returned and fired randomly into the store.”
Jose Carbajal, 23, of Torrance, died at the scene, Hinojos said.
