Golden West to Face Southwestern Tonight

COSTA MESA — Golden West, with its top two tailbacks out for the season, takes on Southwestern in a Mission Conference Central Division game at 7 tonight at Orange Coast College.
Golden West (1-4-1, 1-1) began the year with Thomas Green and Mark Crowley rotating at tailback. Green was hurt early and left the team after four games. Crowley was coming off a career-high 147 yards, but broke his ankle on his first carry Saturday in a 35-14 loss to Rancho Santiago.
Damien Cook and John Sims figure to rotate at tailback tonight with Timm Wynn at fullback.
Golden West quarterback Brian Schneider hasn’t had a pass intercepted. He is 82 of 166 for 889 yards with eight touchdowns.
Southwestern (0-4-1, 0-1-1) is coming off a 47-7 loss at Riverside and has allowed a conference-high 29 touchdowns.
