Trio-Tech International Reports Earnings Gain

Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando provider of semiconductor testing equipment and services, earned $35,000 in its fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30, a 13% increase from its $31,000 profit of a year earlier.
The company’s revenue grew 5% in the quarter ended in September, to $4.11 million from $3.92 million.
Trio-Tech said it managed the profit gain despite unfavorable exchange rates affecting its Far East operations. The company said its Malaysian operations turned in a better financial performance because of cost controls.
