The city is looking for qualified applicants to fill 22 vacant seats on four city commissions.
Residents can pick up application forms for the Planning Commission, Economic Development Commission, Traffic and Transportation Commission and Community Services Commission at the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 25909 La Pala Lane.
“In the past, we’ve always gotten a wonderful response from citizens,” Councilwoman Susan Withrow said. “So many in Mission Viejo have been willing to participate. I don’t expect anything different this time.”
Applicants must be registered voters and live in Mission Viejo. The deadline for returning the applications is 5 p.m. Dec. 22.
There are five seats on each commission, except for the Community Services Commission, which has seven members. Commissioners are chosen individually by members of the City Council.
