VENTURA : Salvation Army Ends Dispute With 2 Stores
- Share via
The Salvation Army is gathering Christmas cash after ironing out problems with two Ventura stores.
Sav-on drugstore halted soliciting last week at its store, and K mart restricted it to the week before Christmas.
Both stores attributed their decisions to aggressive fund raising by other groups.
But Lt. Rene Beauchamp of the Salvation Army said the stores received calls from customers who wanted to see the familiar red kettles and hear the bells.
As a result, the charity began soliciting at K mart on Monday and at Sav-on on Tuesday.
