In another Tournament of Champions game:
Tustin 53, Pasadena 48 (OT)--David Lalazarian had 19 points and Doug Gottlieb added 14 for Tustin (7-0), which outscored Pasadena, 10-5, in overtime.
Robert Griffin also had 13 points, including three three-pointers, for Tustin.
In the Irvine World News tournament:
Santa Ana Valley 88, Downey Warren 52--The Falcons (4-4) made 15 of 36 three-pointers as Michael Riggins had a team-high 18 points and 14 assists. Olujimi Mann didn’t play for Santa Ana Valley because of a sore leg.
Trabuco Hills 89, Marina 51--Rob Warnick had 24 points and Jon Paisley added 15 for Trabuco Hills (5-1), which outscored Marina 43-21 in the first half. Marina is 1-4.
Irvine 60, Kennedy 55--Kennedy (2-4) had a 55-54 lead with 1:30 left, but Irvine (2-4) made four of five free throws down the stretch.
Woodbridge 69, Brethren Christian 60--Chris Burgess had 22 points and Todd Semm 15 to lead Woodbridge (5-1), which was ahead, 39-25, at the half.
In the Santiago tournament:
Foothill 81, Santiago 48--Dan Almquist had 23 points for Foothill (5-3), which led, 25-4, after one quarter.
In the Express League:
Heritage Christian 66, Claremont 53--Jay Williams scored 44 points, including 24 of 30 free throws, to lead Heritage Christian in the league opener.
