SEASON AT A GLANCE: Village Christian has relied on Palmquist, a two-time All-Southern Section performer in track and field, to guard the opposition’s leading scorer. This season, the 5-foot-10 Palmquist has become an offensive force, averaging 15 points while continuing to spearhead the defense for the Crusaders (8-2).
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Palmquist, who plays guard and forward, scored 33 points, two shy of the school record, and added 15 rebounds and six steals in a 61-44 victory over defending Division V-AA champion Mission Prep in the championship game of the San Luis Obispo tournament. Palmquist averaged 18.3 points, 10 rebounds and five steals a game in the tournament.
