Ambrozich, from Irvine High, was a force down the stretch as Saddleback beat Rancho Santiago, 79-70, in the title game of the Rancho Santiago Holiday tournament. He scored 14 of his 24 points in the second half of the title game. He scored six consecutive points to put the Gauchos ahead, 63-56, with about eight minutes left. He made 25 of 48 shots in the tournament and finished with 61 points and 35 rebounds in three games. He’s averaging 15 points and seven rebounds for Saddleback (13-3).
