IRVINE — Residents are needed to fill four vacancies on the city’s Intercultural Advisory Committee, which sponsors cultural events and advises the Community Services Commission on issues of diversity.
Between 11 and 13 residents are appointed to one-year terms on the committee each year. The application deadline is Jan. 20.
Since the committee was established in 1991, it has sponsored such programs as an intercultural video series and poetry reading, a black history month book display, an international folk dance festival and a Smithsonian Institution lecture series.
For information, call community services supervisor Toni Pang at (714) 724-6884.
