MOORPARK : Flushing of Water System Planned

The Public Works Agency plans to flush the water system in Moorpark next week as part of its annual maintenance of the city’s water service.

Between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, the local water district will turn on fire hydrants in the Campus Park area of the city to flush the system. The system will again be flushed beginning Thursday from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. Friday.

Residents in the area are advised to expect water running down their streets at those times. There is also a possibility that the water will have slight discolorations during the process, but a spokeswoman for the district said the water would clear as soon as the flushing was finished.
